Agates of many different varieties are found in the area south of Montrose. Their colours range from grey through to orange and dark brown.  We enjoy looking out for them when we are out walking.  Some stones we polish in a tumbler, a process taking six to eight weeks using different grades of sand.  Others we hand cut with a diamond saw, shape and polish, to fit a silver mount.  All our silver jewellery is hallmarked and is available for sale from Dunninald, and at various Craft Fairs in Angus.  We also make to order, please contact us.
