Coronovirus, (Covid-19) Visitor Information

DUNNINALD CASTLE and GARDENS

GARDEN OPENING, 2021
We are delighted to announce that following the relaxation of Government guidelines the gardens at Dunninald Castle are now open.

We just wanted to let you know what we are doing to ensure we keep our visitors and staff as safe as possible. Please see below for all the details you need to ensure you enjoy your visit as safely as possible.


Covid-19 and social distancing
All visitors to the Gardens must follow the current social distancing guidelines of 2 metres and follow any specific instructions upon arrival to the gardens. We are providing hand sanitiser at the ticket desk, but please feel free to bring your own if you wish. You are welcome to wear masks/face coverings or gloves if you wish to do so.

Please remember if you have any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19 you must not visit the gardens and must follow the guidelines as issued by 
Visit Scotland.

Each day, to prepare for our visitors
  • The toilet and toilet area is cleaned and sanitised as per guidance.​

Tickets
  • You can buy tickets online through our website, please bring a printed ticket or be prepared to show proof of purchase.
  • You can also pay for entry when you arrive, we accept cash and card payments.
  • The gardens and grounds are extensive, but will be closed to visitors if there is overcrowding and social distancing cannot be safely maintained. If this occurs there will be a closed sign at the entrance.
  • Historic Houses Members are admitted free
  • Gardeners World 2 for 1 scheme is valid
  • National Art Pass holders receive 50% discount

Toilets
We are opening the disabled toilet, only, to visitors, which will operate on a one in/one out system. We are asking all visitors to sanitise their hands upon entering as well as leaving please.

Parking
Please be considerate when parking your car in our car park and leave a 2 metre gap between your car and others.

Other information
  • Paper copies of our garden map are available when you pay, and you can download a copy of the map from our website if you prefer.
  • We reserve the right to close off areas of the gardens we deem unsafe for visitors
  • Please respect all staff by observing the social distancing rules. Please treat all staff with respect.
